My dear husband and I celebrated Valentines Day this past Saturday and it was one of the best dates we have had :)
First we got all dressed up, which I love doing, and he let me pick between 3 restaurants. I picked Benihana's, it's a Hibachi asian food place where they cook it all right in front of you, located in Downtown Dallas. We had salad, onion soup and a shrimp appetizer, and they I ordered the Hibachi Chicken and Steven ordered the Hibachi steak and chicken. When you eat at a Hibachi style restaurant you are at a table with 6 other people. And we were sat with a very nice couple who turns out owns their own business and the wife is needing a website...worked out nicely! (You will have to read Steven's blog for the story about the terrible child--it's great!)
After dinner we had a few hours to kill before our movie so we drove to Frisco (where we are building our house). We looked around Best Buy at refrigerators for the house and then went to the mall. We had Cheesecake Factory for dessert!!!! YUMMM! I had the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake and Steven had a 6 carb original cheesecake. After that he took me to Victoria's Secret to let me pick out a new scent from their body care section. I got a whole new set of lotions, body wash, bubble bath, etc :)
From there we stopped by a place called Cape Buffalo to see a friend of Stevens from Lubbock who was in town auditioning for a band. While we were there visiting it was just a DJ playing music, but then as we were about to leave the band came on (one of the band members is also auditioning for this new band) and they were called Metal Shop and they were an 80's cover hair band! I would have loved to have seen them play; I am sure they would have played my favorite song "Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leppard :)
We then hit the late show of Fun With Dick and Jane and all I can say is, if you haven't seen it yet...DO! It was hysterical! I loved it!
All in all it was a wonderful Valentines Date! I was telling Steven, this is our 3rd Valentines Day together and look how far we've come. Our first Valentines we just started dating and it was that night that he realized that he was going to marry me because of all of the stuff he went through to make that day perfect for me. Then our second Valentines we were engaged and 2 months away from our wedding. And now on our third Valentines we have been married for 10 months and are a few months away from moving into our first home together.
