Today, although being a day off from work (President's Day), was quite a busy one. Steven's parents left for back home at 10 am from a weekend visit with us; Gabby had to be back to her mom by noon, and then I had a ton of errands I needed to get done. While we were out doing errands it was late lunch time and I realized that Jacey and I would not be home any time soon to get something to eat...so we made an unplanned stop at McDonalds. Being that this was unplanned I decided to be rather money conscious and order a kid meal for myself and one for Jacey. When I pulled up to the window to pay the kid said, "That will be $8.58." I said, "Oh, I only ordered 2 kids meals, you must have charged me for 3." He said, "Nope, the prices went up." I said, "Well for a $1.50 each price increase I sure hope we get more than the $.10 toy!" And he just laughed.
Can you believe that! A kids meal is $2.99 and then they charge you an additional $.99 for the drink...a $4 kid meal! I said, "Thank you and we will not be coming back."
Yes I am a dork...blogging about McDonalds kids meal prices..but can you believe that?!
