I had great success with my Mascot Match-Up, but then I second guessed my methods the next two weeks and didn't do so hot; so I am at it again...
Bowling Green Falcons@ #7 Boston College Eagles
A Falcon and an Eagle are essentially the same animal so this leaves me in a quandary. I referenced Wikipedia and did some research though. And according to the articles I found, an Eagle is larger than any other raptors apart from vultures. And being that Boston College is not playing the Bowling Green Vultures...I am going to give it to the Boston College Eagles.

#4 Ohio State Buckeyes @ #23 Purdue Boilermakers
I don't understand some of these schools mascots; they just dont seem very fierce...a buckeye tree vs a boilermaker. In this case I dug a bit deeper and the mascot from Ohio state wears what resembles a buckeye nut on his head...yep. And the purdue mascot looks like a train locamotive...a bit more intimidating. So if I make my assessment off of these findings, a nut vs a train, I am going to go with the train. In words of my father who works for the BNSF Railroad, 'Look, Listen & Live' when crossing railroad tracks.

I am brought back to thoughts of the settlers in their covered wagons traveling the Great Plains. And in that thought I remember seeing cows tied to the covered wagons following as a source of food. So with that being said, I think the Sooners would take this one. And, even if not, I would make up some ridiculous reason why they would because I WILL NEVER CHEER FOR TEXASS! Saw 'Em Off!

I have wondered what a Hokie was, and found that their mascot is a turkey. In the spirit of mascot match-up a tiger would be the definate winner here...but Clemson let me down last year and then again last week...this is such a tough one for me. Go with the mascot match-up (which has a solid track record) or go with anger (never a good thing)...so I will be 'Sweet Jess' and pick the Tigers...but you better not disappoint me this week or I will cut you off!

Chattanooga Indians @ Arkansas Razorbacks
This is where mascot match-up just wont hold up. I am abandoning ship on this one pick. Clearly an Indian would shoot a Razorback and that would be that. But I think the Razorbacks are going to shutout the Indians; just cant go with the Indians in this case.

Most people would say, "What can stop a cyclone; they destory everything they come in contact with?!" Well I will tell you who...the Red Raiders! Have you seen a west Texas dirt storm?! Those are some fierce conditions! Dirt in your teeth and eyes, dodging tumbleweeds, while holding your breath from the stinch of all of the cattle...we got this one!

How about for this one we do the coach match-up Gundy vs Franchione...now THAT would be entertaining to watch; especially after Gundy's last temper tantrum! In the end, I would give it to Fran...no particular reason...just hoping for another Gundy outburst. Imagine how bad he would've been if they LOST to Tech, so if A&M beats them...maybe we will get to see it!
