Hug AND a Kiss

Today I decided to surprise Jacey and eat lunch with her at school. When I walked into the school they were just finishing up their restroom break before heading to the cafeteria. When Jacey saw me come around the corner so said, "WHOA!" And then she told all of her classmates "That's MY mommy!" Then all of her classmates all said, "Hi Jacey's Mommy!" So we proceeded to the lunchroom and everyone wanted to sit with Jacey and I. In the end her bestest friend Gracie, and her other friends Lauren B. (or 'the nice Lauren' as Jacey calls her; the other Lauren is mean), Logan and Lilly. All very sweet girls! So after Jacey and I ate our gourmet meal of Sonic grilled cheese with pickles I decided to take a few pictures. All of the girls just loved that! When it was time to leave I told Jacey, "I know it's 'uncool' to give your mom a hug and a kiss at school, so just give me the 'I Love You sign' (sign language sign for I love you)." And Jacey says back, "No Mommy...you get a hug AND a big kiss! You're the bestest!" So how do I react? Tears! Of course!

As I was leaving the parking lot I was reminded just how blessed I was. I have an amazing husband who has given me this opportunity to have moments like this with Jacey. These moments are so special to me and I cherish them, and I wouldn't have these opportunities if I were still a 'career mom'. So, even though I called you and told you already today...I am going to tell you again: Thank you so much Steven for giving me these moments; I am truly blessed!

Sonic Grilled Cheese...doesn't sound very weight watcher to me...but being able to eat lunch with your kids is worth going over any amount of points! Love you guys!

PS - I think I just had my first craving, I have this overwhelming urge to get the girls up from nap and get a grilled cheese from Sonic...ugh!

Yeah, the grilled cheese in 9 points...what is surprising is the chicken strips are only 5, the corn dog is 6 and the jr. burger is 7.5. Who wouldve thought a corn dog would not be that bad? A battered a fried hot dog!

Auntie Lou is collecting those tots for the girlies. I got my own, the were-tot! He's TOO cute!
Love, Mom

PS
Enjoy these moments while they're here. One day you look around and they are all grown up! Trust me, I KNOW!

PPS
Karina gave me some more clothes for Miss Thing yesterday.

Too cute and like mom said I brought home some tots to split between the girls so whichever she doesn't have I'll let her pick out.

What a sweet little girl you have! I learned while raising my own children that most of the time we parents give our kids the ideas for what should be expected of them... even something bad like no kiss or hugs! I am glad Jacey showed you what was right!!!! lol May your hugs and kisses keep on happening clear through high school!

I enjoyed all the pictures.
