I saw this quote on the back of a car up at the college I take classes at today and immediately it spoke to me.

So many people say that society, economic status, race, etc is what imprisons them from their dreams, goals and aspirations...but in reality the only thing that keeps us back from achieving our dreams is our mind.

I look at my husband, Steven. He had so many things going against him growing up. A minority from a low economic status; on paper he was set for mediocrity. But he had dreams and goals; he was going to make something of himself. He put his mind to it. He sacrificed knowing that his rewards would come later down the road. And now he is an extremely successful software consultant who has a remarkable reputation in the industry. He makes me so proud to be his wifey.
