3 Flops and Youre Out!

*Ahem....to the "someone" who removed me from your blog friends...please note that I am blogging *wink*"

Last night my honey let me play hookie from school; in drawing class right now we are working on a very extensive project, so the next 4 or 5 classes are strictly studio time. So we planned for a nice evening of looking at appliances for the house, getting cheap pizza and coming home to watch the new episode of LOST (wonderful show!).

So first was going to check out the appliances. And so we wouldn't be wasting our time I called around to see who had the largest selection of GE appliances. ( In our home we are getting all GE appliances standard, but we wanted to see them in person to know if we should invest in upgrading them). So I called Conn's Electronics by our apartment and Charles says "We have the largest display of GE appliances than any other GE distributor in Texas." So I proceeded to say, "well can you see if you have these models on display before we come over?" And Charles replies, "{chuckling} we will have them in." So my honey and I head over there to see if he really has the best selection in TEXAS *rolling eyes*. They dont have a one of them on display. And the sales guy just really didnt get it that we werent buying from them, just looking to see if we needed to upgrade. I had to wait around for 5 min while he found a business card so "when we were ready to buy" we would have his name...grrr!!! I told Steven, I just dont know how to be rude...and he said, "I do, walk out the front door." haha! FLOP #1

So next was food. I was all excited because they opened a Little Caesar's next to our house and it has $5 pizzas all day. So cheap pizza=wifey doesnt have to cook :) Last minute Steven says, lets go get chinese from this restaurant that we both really like....awww. So we get there, and they have changed it up, it used to be: order at the coutner, serve yourself beverages, etc. Well now you have a seat and someone waits on you. So Steven's says to me "Ummm I am not tipping, thats why we like this place so much is because it is cheap and good." So our waitress is AWFUL! And when Steven orders, he ordered the lunch portion, not the dinner portion. We get our bill and she charged us for dinner (even though we recieved lunch)...then proceeds to tell Steven, "Well what do you want me to do? You ate all of your food!" She was arguing with Steven...which hacks me off...I have worked in the restaurant industry and you NEVER argue with the customer. You get their meal comped if needed just to keep them coming back. So Steven finally says, "thats fine, we just wont be coming back". FLOP #2

So we get home, put Jacey to bed (she hasnt been feeling to good lately) and get all cozy on the couch (me, Steven and the laptop--who needs a dog to sit in our lap and keep us company...we got the laptop! hehe I am just kidding, my honey is one of the hardest workers I know...I admire his work ethic). LOST comes on and its a rerun from this past season...and since I am still on season one (he Netflixed them) he said that this particular episode would really ruin it for me. So we turned it off. FLOP #3

What a wonderful Wednesday night we had...oh and we were in bed by 9pm....we are such the old married couple!
