As my 3 year old daughter came up to me a few minutes ago and asked me to open a pack of Halloween skittles for her I was so grossed out. I hate skittles...and jolly ranchers (only lemon and grape flavor though), and you want to know why? Back in 1988, I believe, my parents and my older sister Jennifer went on a vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. And for the trip our mom bought us a huge bag of Jolly Ranchers (my favorites were the lemon and grape) and Skittles. Jennifer and I sat in the very back of the van and ate, and ate, and ate all of that candy on the LONG drive. About the time we finished it all off we were going up a mountain pass winding back and forth, back and forth...and I got so naseous. To this day, I can not eat skittles or jolly ranchers.

I will never forget, is that why I hate the lemon and grape Jolly Ranchers too? The skittles were a given but I never put two and two together with the Jolly Ranchers. Mom and Dad must have eaten all the good ones and left us with lemon and grape! lol
