Heaven was Rejoicing!

This past Sunday we went to church, and the sermon was all about '5 Freaky Facts about Hell' which is part of his current series 'I Need to Change'. It was very interesting to say the least. And at the end of the sermon the pastor prayed the Salvation Prayer. Normally after that prayer he asks, "If you accepted Christ today, please see the information center on the way out so we can get you plugged into the church." But this Sunday he asked that everyone who accepted Christ to please come forward. One by one they came forward...and it was so touching. I had the biggest smile on my face, tears streaming down, and I was clapping and cheering for every single one of them. As a Christian, I can't think of anything that is more exciting then seeing people start their relationship with Christ. Two sets of people really touched my heart when they came forward, one set was a couple...and I thought to myself "How exciting! They will be able to experience this new relationship with God together. Their relationship will never be the same!" And the second set of people was a mother and daughter. It brought me back to this past July when my Jacey accepted Christ into her heart. It is just an amazing feeling to be able to pray the salvation prayer with your little one. Immediatly following the service, the individuals who accepted Christ had the option to Baptized and go public with their new relationship right then and there! It was an awesome Sunday to say the least...the angels were rejoicing and having a Par-Tay (as pastor Ed Young would say) yesterday!
