I had to take Jace to the doctor today; she had developed a pretty bad cough. And after being tested for strep and a few other things (which came back negative) the doctor concluded that she doesn't have mild allergies; she has severe allergies. Unfortunately Zeus does not help the situation much. We always knew she was highly allergic to cats and long haired dogs, so with Zeus being a short haired dog we figured we were in the clear. Wrong. I explained to the doctor that getting rid of Zeus really wasn't an option (they are so attached to each other); so she is on a new daily regimine for allergy maintenance; here goes:
1/2 t. of Zyrtec a day
1 spray of Nasonex in each nostril a day
1 spray of Affrin in each nostril twice a day (for 4-5 days to get the congestion down)
1 spray of AYR in each nostril twice a day (once she is off the Affrin)
Eye drops twice a day
Gargle with salt water twice a day
Poor girl :(
Zeus, I expect to see some excellent behavior from you since we are putting Jace through all this to keep your ornery butt!

My poor Bean! I know the Moore kids had to take shots regularly. I hope this helps her out.
How about a pic of her and the guilty culprit AKA "Zeus"?
I think lunch with the Bean on Monday will work out. I'll touch bases with you on Friday!
Love, Mom
You should try her on that Nasopure stuff I sent Mom. They claim it's excellent for allergies and then she wouldn't have to be on all those meds. Let me know if you want me to send some to you. Check out their website at www.nasopure.com.
Jenn,
I actually found a retailer that carries the Nasopure and it happens to be right over by the campus I go to school at! I will be over in that area on Wednesday of next week and will definitely be picking it up! I like the idea of this stuff for two reasons: 1) Nasonex is $79 a month WITH insurance and 2) it's organic!
Thanks for the recommendation!
OK, I am just rolling here!
Go to the nasopure website and navigate to the 'How to use it' link; then watch the video!
First off, I love the 'zen' music to accompany it; it's just really funny to see people just stick that thing up their nose, and it come streaming out the other side.
The second image they show in the beginning (right after the kid, the chick in the b&w photo) she looks so excited about it!
And then the lady they show next in the business suit...it's so natural looking to her that it looks like she would do it during a dinner party or something.
Geesh sister, we are green! Organic?? I know, I'm starting to get into organic stuff too. I'll have to check out the video...after I clean my nose of course!
