Wow, what a week we are having! I am very busy with Bella and Side Line Pros tasks this week...and I am loving it! Just to catch you all up on all of our recent opportunities & blessings that have presented themselves:
-We have booked two more weddings! We are meeting with both couples this weekend to discuss which packages and options fit their needs the best. With that I had to sit down and create a wedding consultation form, put all of my packages with all of the details in writing, price out all of the additional options (albums, additional hours of coverage, etc) and create all of my policies. And if any of you all know me well, I am not satisfied with a simple word document for this wedding packet. I think I spent 4 or 5 hours alone on the consultation form (but I am VERY please with the result).
-We have added online proofing and ordering to our website! I am so excited about this feature! There are so many options for these services out there, so I really had to do my research. I inquired with over 10 companies and finally settled on the one that fit our needs perfectly. So with that came the setting up of the infrastructure (galleries, pricing and products). Check it out!
-Steven's business, Side Line Pros, is on the verge of exploding! He is breaking into the youth soccer select leagues and the word is already starting to spread! We will be hitting the local soccer games and while Steven photographs, his project manager at AA (who got us the gig - her daughter plays select soccer) and myself will be networking with all of the players parents and gathering rosters and team names. Then, I come home and process all of the images taken (upwards of 600 per game), filter through them, and then post them to the online gallery system for viewing and ordering. Oh, and this all needs to be done in about a two day turnaround time.
-We were approached by a non-profit organization to do a fall fundraiser for them. The lead actually came from a fellow attendee at Leech Fantasy Football Camp last year with Steven.; isn't it great how things come full circle! If we win this project, we will have at least 50 (!) family studio sessions over the course of two weekends! I am very excited about the possibly of this opportunity! This is exactly the market we want to be in (Plano and Frisco families). More than likely these two weekends will be when Steven is photographing Texas Tech football, so I am already in the process of finding a good assistant for those two weekends. I have begun putting together my proposal which includes the money that will go back to the organization for their fundraising, the packages we will offer and all of the logistics that go into planning and running this event.

So as you can see, it is all starting to come together! It is so great seeing our dreams come into fruition! I remember when we first took that step of faith and started Bella, Steven mentioned to me that I will more than likely be putting in more hours now then I did when I had a full time job out of the home...and he wasn't kidding! Well, I better get off of here and get back to work!
