Interesting fact about Jess: I am a Wizard of Oz collector! The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie and I love collecting the memorabilia. My goal is to one day have it all displayed in the guest bedroom / second office. So, what does one get when you combine my love for Christmas and my love for the Wizard of Oz? Wizard of Oz Christmas ornaments! Each year Hallmark puts out two Wizard of Oz ornaments; a regular ornament and then an animated scene. I have a few of these from over the years. I checked ebay recently to see how much the ones that I don't have from the past are now...and lets just say they have definitely kept their value...and then some!
This ornament is from the year 2006 and is titled "Dorothy and the Munchkins". This one is extra special because Steven bought it for me :) When you press the button the yellow brick road lights up. When Dorothy begins to speak she turns towards the Munckins and they hide behind the flowers. They appear again as she turns away.
