School

I just finished registering for the Spring semester at school and I am really excited! I am taking several classes where the information I will be learning I can immediately apply to Bella!

Here is my schedule:

Monday:
8:00am-8:50am Weight Training
1:00pm-2:15pm Photographic Science

Wednesday:
8:00am-8:50am Weight Training
1:00pm-2:15pm Photographic Science
6:00pm-11:00pm Photographic Studio Management

Thursday:
9:00am-2:50pm Digital Publishing - In-Design
7:00pm-9:50pm Storyboard

Friday:
8:00am-8:50am Weight Training

The Digital Publishing class is being taught by one of my favorite professors, so that will be a great class! I will be learning how to produce layouts which I can use for album layouts, poster layouts, marketing pieces, etc.

The Photographic Studio Management class covers management, pricing, market analysis, promotion, networking, job acquisition, and photographic equipment analysis.

In the Storyboard class I will be learning how to organize project content and arrange in a visual format. I am guessing this will kind of go hand in hand with the Digital Publishing class.

The one class I am kinda 'eh' about is the Photographic Science class...here is the description:
An examination of the principles and theories governing photography. Emphasis on analysis of problems involving optics, light, chemistry, and math as they pertain to field practices. Tools and methods will utilize the view camera and zone system. Can we say 'yawn'!

I had talked to Steven about me taking the Weight Training class and he was all for it! The one thing I am real uncomfortable at when it comes to the gym is the weights. I have no clue how to use the machines, how many reps to do, how much weight to use, when to work out each muscle group, etc. The cost of personal trainers is ridiculous; so when I spotted this class at the college I was pumped! I will get 2.5 hrs a week of gym time with the coach (who was my running coach a couple of semesters ago) and get instruction, along with 12 other people, on how to create a work out plan just for me. And the cost $81! I did the math...this is 46 class session, each 50 minutes long....that works out to under $2 a session! Now that is some cheap personal training!

So on paper this is 12 credit hours, but actual class time is 20 hours a week...let the chaos begin!
