Tonsils

Thought I would post a picture of Jacey's insanely huge tonsils! No wonder the dr. took one look at those and told us they needed to come out! Her surgery is scheduled for Monday; we should be finding out the time of surgery in the next day or two. We went to the store today and she picked out the ice cream, jello and yogurt she wanted...and of course her favorite thing...mashed potatoes! She is actually looking forward to them being removed just because they are bothering her so much. The only hard part so far has been when she asks me to tell her how they remove the tonsils. My answer, "I am not sure, let me get back to you on that one." Any suggestions?

Bless her heart! Well, my answer to the question might be too baby for your mature little girl. But, What I would say is that God sends one of his angels to help you fall asleep. Once you're asleep He sends another angel to gently and carefully scoop up your tonsils. Then He sends one more angel to wake you up! Then of course mommy will be there to cuddle with you and give you all sorts of yummy foods!! Caleb was 18 months old, so I didn't get that fun question!!

And of course I thought of all the people that helped out with Caleb's sugery were angels, because we haven't had any throat problems since. That's a huge saving on doctor bills and having a happier baby, of course, they have to be angels!

Oh wow! I didn't know Caleb had his removed when he was 18 months old! How did it go? I am really nervous for her. I like her explanation, I think she would buy into it ;)

It went well, just a few days of recovery, aka (MAJOR cuddle time) and he was good. I have pictures of his bright red cheeks because they tend to be feverish afterwards and I loved the raspy voice!!
