Brain Neurologist Update

Today I had my appointment with the Brain Neurologist; Steven accompanied me and I was happy! I think he could sense I was a little nervous about this appointment. I will spare you from all of the boring stuff and just get to it. I am having a spinal tap scheduled to determine the amount of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF Fluid) in my spine, neck and around my brain and the pressure levels. Second, I am having blood work done to determine if I have any problems stemming from the Empty Sella Syndrome. A few things they are going to check are hormone levels and thyroid levels. Next, I am going to be seeing an eye doctor (which works out great because my contact/glasses prescription expires at the end of this month) to have my periphrial vision field tested. When I get my migraines I get real bad tunnel vision and so she wants to have this tested. And last but not least, I am going to keep a headache calendar to log all of my headaches / migraines between now and my follow up appointment (March 10th). She said that more then likely I will be prescribed Imitrex to keep the headaches under control.

So like I had suspected, not much new to report...should know more after all of these tests and exams. Thank you to everyone that has been keeping me in your prayers...I do appreciate it!
